The final program of the StartUp MYO 2026 Project Competition, organized for the second time this year under the coordination of Kayseri University and aimed at encouraging vocational school students to develop their entrepreneurship, innovation, and project development skills, was held at the 15 July Campus Congress and Culture Center. A total of 362 project applications were submitted to the competition this year.

The competition brought together students from the vocational schools of Kayseri University, Erciyes University, and Nuh Naci Yazgan University. The finalist projects were evaluated by the jury, and the award-winning projects were determined.

Students of the Information Technologies Vocational School made our university proud by achieving remarkable success in the competition. Two projects supervised by Yunus Emre Altınışık, Lecturer and Head of the Electronics and Automation Department, were recognized with university-wide awards.

The project titled “Autonomous Light Breakers” won the University Second Place Award. Developed by Yahya Şahin, Emir Bilgin, and İbrahim Efe Özer, students of the Autonomous Systems Technician Program, the project received great appreciation from the jury for its innovative approach and technical competence.

The University Third Place Award was presented to the project “MAHYA” developed by Elif Bal, a student of the Digital Transformation Electronics Program. The project stood out with its technological solution proposal and practical applicability.

The administration and academic staff of the Information Technologies Vocational School stated that these achievements reflect the quality of vocational education and the institution’s practice-oriented educational approach, and they congratulated all participating students and their advisors.

We congratulate our students, who successfully represented both our University and our Vocational School, as well as their advisor Yunus Emre Altınışık, and wish them continued success in their future endeavors.
