As part of the Computer Networks course, a hands-on training session on “Fiber Splicing” was conducted on October 3, 2025, by Senior Engineers Burakhan ELDEN and Mustafa BENLİ from the Turkish State Railways (TCDD).

The training was organized for students of the Digital Transformation Electronics Program and took place in our school’s Electronics and Communication Laboratory. During the session, students gained practical experience in addition to theoretical knowledge on fiber optic cable splicing, connection techniques, and field applications.

The sharing of knowledge and expertise by TCDD personnel contributed to strengthening the collaboration between industry and the university. At the end of the event, students had the opportunity to gain detailed insights into the equipment and application methods used in fiber optic infrastructure systems.
